Where you were when you started?

When I started, I was in a real slump. I had gained a lot of weight from COVID and did not have a structured routine at home. I noticed when I would hold out my arms, there was no real muscle there. It hung below my arm not on top! LOL I was not happy with my appearance and was wearing bigger clothes to hide the real me.

Where are you now?

I feel like I am in a good spot. I can see a real transformation. About 3 months in, I could definitely tell a real difference and was feeling more confident about myself and my appearance. Now, 6 months in, I am truly pleased with the results and plan to maintain/improve where I am today.

What is the best part about working with me?

The best part about working with Laura is that the facility is totally a judgement-free zone. She is always very encouraging and supportive. Laura constantly pushes me to improve and add more weight when and wherever possible. Coming in each week I never know what the challenge is going to be for the day!

How do you think differently now about fitness from when you started?

I know that with getting older, I need to make sure I am incorporating workouts into my week at least 3 days a week and getting out and walking as much as I possibly can. Working out can be fun and I have learned that you don’t have to hit it hard for an hour, some of the workouts are 40 seconds of work the rest 20, doing consecutive activities. You truly get an awesome workout. These are things I can also do at home if I only have 20 or 30 minutes. Working out is definitely fun and I look forward to my weekly workouts.

What’s a cool story about training together that you can recall was really helpful to you or created a breakthrough?

I have regularly gone to the chiropractor for monthly maintenance. I was hoping with working out with Laura, I could get stronger in my core and reduce the monthly maintenance visits to the chiropractor. After two months, I noticed that my shoulders and neck were no longer hurting. When I picked up something heavy or slept wrong, I was not having to run to the chiropractor to get an adjustment. I have been working out with Laura for 6 months and have only had to go one time to the chiropractor when I stepped wrong, and my hip was out of alignment. I will take that has a “HUGE” win for my health and wellness!!
